Sustainability Strategy & EU Regulatory Affairs | Fashion Systems
I started in design.
I ended up in the systems behind it.
Fashion and textile brands operating in or entering the EU are navigating a wave of regulation that wasn't written for creative teams. I help bridge that gap — translating what the law actually requires into decisions designers, directors and executives can act on.
Brazilian roots. Milanese heart. European action.
The gap.
Most creative teams make sustainability decisions without understanding the strategic or regulatory weight behind them. Most compliance experts can't speak the language of a design brief.
The result: brands doing more than they can credibly claim, or claiming more than they can actually prove.
I work in the space between — helping creative and strategic teams make better choices upstream, and communicate them in ways that hold up.
Not perfect. Better. Ahead of the game. Ready.
Design, regulation, communication, strategy — I move across the whole chain, not just one link of it.
Italy's fashion system and textile-rich culture was my biggest teacher.
I started in product and fashion design and gradually moved toward the systems behind it — the regulations, the standards, the strategies that shape what gets made and what it's allowed to say.
From the yarn to the regulation, from material choices to the standards markets demand — I move across the full length of that chain, and I speak the language at every stop. Design, compliance, communications, strategy. Not as separate disciplines but as one continuous problem.
A pattern repeats across every engagement: 90% of the time the solution is already inside the organization. What's missing is someone who can ask the right questions without the weight of internal history, and reframe what they hear in a way that matters at the level where decisions get made.
I bring an outside perspective and inside listening. A strategic mind and a creative one — I've never had to choose between them. And in a landscape where the rules for fashion and textiles are shifting faster than most creative teams can track, that combination tends to matter.
Where I'm useful.
Design to Comply
EU regulation wasn't written for creative teams — but it lands on them anyway. Material choices, product claims, certifications, labels: what looks like a design decision is often also a legal one. I help creative directors, designers and product teams understand the regulatory weight behind their choices before they make them — so compliance becomes a creative advantage, not a last-minute correction.
Communicate Without Greenwashing
Sustainability communication is one of the most legally exposed spaces in fashion right now. Whether you're talking to buyers, consumers or investors, what you say needs to be honest, provable and interesting — because vague claims are becoming a liability and boring ones get ignored. I help brands find the language that's transparent, defensible and worth reading.
Navigate the EU Market
Even brands already operating in Europe are struggling to keep up with the regulatory wave. For those coming from outside, the complexity compounds fast. I help you understand what the EU market actually requires, where your gaps are, and how to close them strategically — before they become expensive surprises.
Design to Comply — The Framework
A practical guide for creative teams navigating EU sustainability and regulatory requirements without losing their creative voice.
Method to the madness.
Start
A focused conversation to understand where you are, what you're trying to solve, and what's already in the room that we can use.
Scope
I work async to build a clear picture of what we're doing, why, and what success looks like — before we get into live sessions where the real decisions get made.
Decide
Live sessions for decisions. No endless decks. No jargon for the sake of it. Just clear thinking, honest feedback and something you can actually act on.
Fashion isn't the only villain.
But we can all be complicit — or we can act.
I choose to help those who want to act.
Overproduction isn't stopping anytime soon — though it should learn to recognize planetary bounds before it's too late. Some say it already is. I don't believe that. But I do believe the window is closing faster than most boardrooms are moving.
If sustainability isn't in your action plan yet, the time to start was yesterday. The good news is that yesterday is closer than you think — and the pathway exists.
"Fashion touches real people, real soil,
real materials, real spaces."
I want to work with those who are awake to this. Not scrambling because the law is catching up, but moving because they understand what's at stake — and that performative action is no longer enough.
Complexity doesn't have one culprit and it doesn't have one solution. But it has pathways. And I know where some of them are.
Let's keep in touch.
No long forms. No pitch decks required. If something on this page resonated — a problem you're sitting with, a project taking shape, or just a conversation worth having — I'm easy to reach.
